I'm genuinely curious how some folks get even close to this. I feel like my first post or two I did something that got all my future posts suppressed, or some such crazy thing, as my comments always end up with super low engagement, despite an effort to make the bulk of them thoughtful and useful.

- WalterGR 5y agoI'm genuinely curious how some folks get even close to this. One way to get on the list is to make a lot of politics-related posts. Another technique to get a lot of karma (don't know about top-10 level karma) is to continually re-post submissions made years ago.
- boomboomsubban 5y agoIt largely rewards time spent on the site. The top karma user has more comments in the past four days than you do in the past year.

- AviationAtom 5y agoI was indeed. They did unban after an email. I had seen mention of it before, and contemplated emailing them to ask, but hadn't done it to this point. Thank you for your comment. I could indeed see why they originally did. Apparently they try to monitor for cases such as mine, but mine had slipped by.
