We're already seeing this in smaller WhatsApp, Discord, Slack, Group Text communities. Anyone who thinks that a Twitter or Facebook thread is "real talk" is just fooling themselves. The promise of the internet to break down barriers has backfired and the social walls have just just gotten higher.
