The fact we call teachers "teachers" does not inherently mean anything valuable is being taught. Rote knowledge--easily accessible online--is not teaching, in my opinion. Where are the life skills? Where is the wisdom? It doesn't exist in school. The entire model of how humans pass on knowledge and experience to others needs to change. To what, I'm not sure, but what I do know is the current system is woeful.
