If my wife's experience in healthcare is representative of a larger phenomenon, then expect a massive shortage of health care workers just as boomers need them most. People are getting sick of shitty jobs, regardless of pay, and I think it's going to force us to redefine some roles. Unless the economy absolutely crashes and makes people desperate enough to take these jobs, I think the trajectory is clear. We might be able to import enough workers to fill the gap, but with the attitudes towards immigrants changing in the US, I'm not so sure.
