Guessing here: probably Jupyter notebooks, Emacs and vscode, and perhaps the (very minimal) R IDE (if we can call it that) that comes with the installation of base R. I use R directly from the terminal quite a bit for any small jobs, like calculations, purely due to the <1000ms boot time.
