My pet hate is M/S Excel. It's ancient now, but still essential for some users. The problem with Excel is that it was written before the M/S GUI became standard, and so nearly all of the keystrokes are count-intuitive. I use it rarely these days, but when I do, I spend hours swearing at its clumsy non standard GUI interface.
