I realize you're saying this in a sarcastic, mocking tone but...yeah? If you worked hard to build your own life up to the point where you can buy a million+ waterfront house, wouldn't it seem unfair to have shabby boats sitting there for free and crashing into your property?
- frontman1988 5y agoWaterfront house doesn't mean you get to own the ocean as well

- olliej 5y agoThose boats were always there, and waterfront property doesn’t mean you own the waterway. Throwing in “environmental concerns” is no different from woodside spontaneously becoming “concerned” about the well being of mountain lions when they were going to lose their ability to block new construction.
- oliv__ 5y agoI agree that the pretense of "environmental concerns" is complete bull.
- yucky 5y agoWell, no. As a property owner you don't get to own the bay or the ocean as well.
- pydry 5y agoIf an asset (i.e. land) is 4 billion years old, then the whole idea of "fair ownership" of it is a dubious legal fiction rooted in violence.
