- spaceisballer 5y agoIt’s so wild that most of those books were required reads by my public school. So many wonderful books on the list.
- peakaboo 5y agoThanks! Saved it. May as well read a few good books while the world goes crazy. :)
- commandlinefan 5y ago> catcher in the rye Why do people keep trying to censor that one? It seemed completely uncontroversial to me.
- emptysongglass 5y agoThere's a little known book by William Golding which I think is his true masterpiece and just as controversial as Lord of the Flies. It's Darkness Visible. One of my favorite books of all time about a half-burned boy who becomes a kind of gnostic prophet and a girl who believes she is an instrument of power.
- beatsie_ 5y agoLooks like they left out 33 Snowfish, Call Me By Your Name, Gender Queer: A Memoir, and Lawn Boy, which were books parents were actually protesting about because they depict sexual acts between adults and minors.

- Vecr 5y agoTo the "turner diaries" guy, Revolt Against the Modern World and The Death of the West are supposedly better (regarding actual influence on right-wing thought), but you can't try to ban something if you don't know it exists.
