In UK a similar mandate for health workers is about to be dropped:

In Denmark any and all restrictions have been dropped, except in airports due to the rest of the world still holding on to restrictions.
The time for mandates have ended.
- Arnt 5y agoWhen did it end? The Danish authorities said, put briefly, that it ended when the vaccination share grew high enough. I have a feeling that you think there's a different reason?
- sharken 5y agoMaybe not a different reason but a combination of factors. The vaccination share has been almost constant since August 2021. As recommended almost everyone got booster shots the last two months, but that is as much a precaution. I think the final thing to getting restrictions removed have been the mild Omicron variant, that does not cause many hospitalizations with a serious outcome. COVID and the seasonal flu are now very much alike, so to me it is common sense to remove all restrictions now.
- Arnt 5y agoYou might perhaps says that it happened when the current wave showed that the vaccinations did the job. IMO it's correct to focus on the part that did the job, so I left out the "that showed" part first. In a rich, first-world country where fewer people are vaccinated than in Denmark, omicron is currently killing roughly as many people per week as the flu kills per year. You may consider that similar, or not.
- sharken 5y agoAre there any data you can point to about Omicron killing 50x more people than the flu, that sounds rather high. Perhaps it's due to not being able to tell if Corona is the primary reason for the death. But without more data it's hard to say.
