What we see is a mash-up of the brain’s last 15 seconds of visual information
- AnimalMuppet 5y agoHave you ever watched television? There's this thing called a "cut". (From the film days - where you would literally cut the film and splice two scenes end-to-end when they weren't shot together.) It means an abrupt change of viewpoint. Well, if you count and do the math, on a non-news, non-sports (i.e., fiction) show, this happens every 3 seconds. Every 3 seconds, the scene is completely unrelated to the scene before. And yet we can watch TV. We don't see part of one scene blended with the next scene, as a mash-up. We see them as distinct scenes. So we at least have the ability to not do this.
