Why Rubber Is Such a Problem for Retro Computing
- simonblack 5y agoRubber and plastics that get sticky can usually be cleaned with iso-propyl alcohol 70% (sometimes called 'surgical spirit' or 'rubbing alcohol'). Dampen a cloth with the alcohol and rub the area clean. You may need to do this action several times, allowing the area to 'dry' between cleans. Perished rubber is a different matter. It's usually too crumbly to be fixable.
