it doesn't really explain why hl2:ep3 never happened, despite having a mature engine to develop against. I think people would be a lot less upset if a "standard m+kb" ep3 that didn't end on such a cliffhanger had been released sometime around 2010.
- Shared404 5y agoI definitely agree that it's a retconned explanation, but it also makes sense for where we are now in the games industry. I'm in my early 20's, and have never played HL. I suspect that's not super nonstandard. So I agree. It should've been released, but they missed the boat, and now we all have to live with it.
