They used ML to upscale GTA Trilogy. That didn’t go amazing.

- jowday 5y agoI don't think this is true - most of the examples people cite look more like they used underpaid contractors to manually recreate storefronts and billboards with shoddy clip art and plain fonts. The idea that they hacked a bunch of ML models together to do that instead of just outsourcing it doesn't hold up to muster.
