Increasingly there isn't as banks, always looking to cut costs, pare back the number of branches they have, the number of staff at those branches, and make the phone experience worse in order to drive customers to their websites.

In Germany there is an online service called barzahlen/viacash (they are renaming) https://www.barzahlen.de https://www.barzahlen.de that allows people to pay cash for online shopping. After checkout, the buyer gets a code that can be scanned by cashiers in certain drugstores and supermarkets, so buyer can pay in cash. I use cash where possible in order to avoid leaving a massive data trail that inevitably will get exploited. It is a method of self-defense for me.
