Ask HN: How much did your TC decline after the recent carnage in tech stocks?
I would like people to share hoq much their TC declined (in both $ and %) due to the tech stock carnage in the last few days, including Meta employees?
I don't work in tech so in my case should be 0 decline
- altdataseller 5y agoI started working at Shopify this year and it’s down 35% or so already. Next time, I am going to ask for an all cash bonus or a higher salary. No more stocks
- sharps_xp 5y agoas someone who gets paid in only cash, i was jealous of everyone who worked for stocks during the bull run. i actually think, now might be a good time to join a company after prices dropped.
- political12345 5y agoCash is exponentially better: your risk is much lower if you get cash and just invest in the broad market. It was fun while it lasted, but i think the great tech bull run is over and there will be a slow decline. Lets see how well this comment ages lol, i could be the next dropbox guy.
