I had a similar reaction to the Cambridge Analytica documentary. There was nothing new about adjusting discourse to a particular audience. It's just that there are new tools to identify groups of people and target them. I don't think much of Alexander Nix and I think he did a terrible job of defending himself. He just let himself be framed into a defensive position and didn't really question it.
