It is not an excuse, it is an explanation. People mostly do not know a shit about the immune system. Can you for example name types of blood cells that are responsible for your immune reaction? What organs are involved? If somebody is trying to sell you a product that should strengthen your immune system, can you differentiate a fraud from a real thing? Perhaps you can but most people have very naive understanding about the immune system.
