Going South: Life at the World’s Most Progressive University
- twofornone 5y agoI hope this doesn't get flagged, because given that the same sentiment is echoed here in the US, and that whites are soon to be a minority-majority, this is a discussion that needs to be had, but such topics are censored from most polite corners of the social internet. There's a difference between calling for equality and demonizing the demographic that appears to be in power. I fear that certain elements in our society have deliberately begun to conflate the two concepts while simultaneously downplaying or justifying what amounts to the same flavor of hatred that has increasingly come to manifest as racial violence against the white minority in SA - and the topic is being ignored and dismissed as a white supremacist conspiracy theory in the US.
