Raspberry Pi: New 'glorious' 64-bit operating system is available to install
- indigodaddy 5y ago“Hollingworth notes that the 64-bit version of Chromium has no version of the WidevineCDM library, meaning it can't play streaming media such as Netflix or Disney+.“ ^^ You could still use the 32-bit binary/version of Chromium in the 64-bit ARM Linux OS right (eg like you can for x86/x86_64 systems?) ? I’m not too familiar with ARM arch so not sure..
- colejohnson66 5y agoYes. This article is just a rehash of the official blog post.[0] They even copied the “Netflix or Disney+” choices exactly. From the source, the literal next sentence (a code block follows this) is: > The 64-bit version of Chromium, installed by default, has no version of the WidevineCDM library and therefore, it is not possible to play streaming media such as Netflix or Disney+. To instead choose the 32-bit version just do the following within a terminal window: [0]: https://www.raspberrypi.com/news/raspberry-pi-os-64-bit/ https://www.raspberrypi.com/news/raspberry-pi-os-64-bit/
