- yawnxyz 5y agothey don't need insurance, they could probably just build another one if the current one burns down...
- intrepidhero 5y agoAnd the house has wood siding with a flat roof and grass growing on the roof! Yikes!
- milesvp 5y agoYeah, I saw those flat roofs, and talk of whistler, and thought what a nightmare. Peaked roofs exist for a reason. I wonder what their snow strategy is? Because one day of rain on top of several feet of snow causes severe structural strain if it can’t just slide down.
- jannyfer 5y agoThe last photo is in snow... I wonder if they actively melt snow on the roof?!

- qbasic_forever 5y agoWould help explain the 400+ amps of electricity they pull from the grid.

- wffurr 5y agoDo they have to get up there (or rather does their groundsperson have to get up there) and mow the roof?
- treespace88 5y agoMy thoughts as well. In the BC woods is only a question of when the next forest fire will come.
- somethoughts 5y agoThe other thought that came to mind is if its a second home - how do you prevent squatters/random people from "enjoying" the house while you are away.
- qbasic_forever 5y agoIs it a sunset or does one of the photos even show a raging fire on a mountain in the background?
- standeven 5y agoPemberton is quite rainy, so forest fires aren't a huge concern. Once you get to the other side of the Coastal mountains (the interior), fire is a much bigger concern.
- notatoad 5y agohere's an article from this summer when there were four out-of-control fires burning in the pemberton region. pemberton is definitely less of a concern than the other side of the mountains, but there is definitely still a risk. and that risk is only growing. https://www.squamishchief.com/local-news/pemberton-area-fires-still-out-of-control-3351748 https://www.squamishchief.com/local-news/pemberton-area-fire...
