I don't know if the -a and -aga spell names are more canon or not, but I hate them. Fire 1, Fire 2, and Fire 3 are much more intuitive and better looking than Fire, Fira, Firaga. When I'm quickly scanning through my spell list looking for something during a pitched battle, the numbers make finding what I'm looking for much easier/quicker. It's incredibly petty, but I wouldn't play this translation for this single reason alone.
