For example, ethereum... Please attack and critique the 'alleged' state of the art blockchains of today that don't use PoW. Once again, only attacking the easiest examples in the blockchain industry (which use PoW). Everyone knows that Bitcoin, and Ethereum are both destroying the planet. Not all cryptocurrencies are the same as those two and many do not use PoW today. It's very easy to criticise the environmental impacts of the first commercial petrol car and use that as an argument to say that all cars should not be used or that cars will not change the world, since petrol cars are more hostile to the environment. The author is doing the same thing, but generalising and bundling all cryptocurrencies having the same environmental negatives as PoW cryptocurrencies (Including Bitcoin, and Ethereum).
