AFAIK you can chose to disable (zero out) advertising ID in Android settings since version 12.
- callmeal 5y agoYou cannot disable the advertising ID. You can _reset_ it, and what that reset does is start collecting personal tracking information under another id. Now unless you remember to reset this id every day, you are being tracked.
- caskstrength 5y agoLMGTFY: As part of Google Play services update in late 2021, the advertising ID will be removed when a user opts out of personalization using advertising ID in Android Settings.
