It's one of those weird case studies for open source founders like myself (robusta.dev) in both how to build an open source community and what NOT to do regarding monetization. The thing about Docker is that it's the most easily monetized software in the world. Successful companies have been built around image scanning and other Docker related needs... But Docker the company completely messed the opportunity
