Yes they will last. Labor shortages drive wages up. This next part may not be what people want to hear but here goes. The reason for labor shortages of software people is because companies are automating work which makes things cheaper and sometimes has the outcome of whatever person doing the automated job being let go. There for sure are tech jobs which aren’t involved directly with automating but indirectly contribute. I’m not saying it’s good or bad, it just is what happens. Larger corporations sometimes will seek out cheaper software people in other parts of the world as those areas produce more software people.
