Even the ST WiFi (mesh WiFi router with a built in st hub) only uses the non-primary APs as standard ZigBee and ZWave repeaters, the same as if there were an outlet or light switch there. And Aeotec is one of the more trustworthy brands in home IoT and the Aeotec hub is exacly the same hardware that was sold as the samsumg v3, even still made by the same OEM.
