Consumer Class Divide
- cyber_kinetist 5y agoFor a much more detailed and introspective writing on the origins of consumption: read David Graeber’s paper: https://townsendgroups.berkeley.edu/sites/default/files/graeber_consumption.pdf https://townsendgroups.berkeley.edu/sites/default/files/grae...
- thundergolfer 5y agoI know it's not trying to be a focused post, but this short rant is all over the place and not in a useful way. Right at the end he talks about executions and blanket bans on advertising while recommending an anarcho-capitalist book for its analysis of the 'zookeeper problem'. Do I have to be a much more intimate fan of George Hotz to understand how this is not confused? If you're concerned about the presence of a virtue-seeking consumerist class, read No Logo instead of someone who endorses praxeology.
