I wouldn't compare CGI, which is obviously very weak when placed next to reality, with real scenes. I’d compare it with the matte painting backdrops of the 30s, 40s, and 50s. Movies like forbidden planet. If your go to see a CGI movie expecting to be “fooled” then you are certain the end up disappointed.
