I've been working on a project for deduplicating version control written in Go https://github.com/akbarnes/dupver https://github.com/akbarnes/dupver I've been a bit frustrated with existing binary version control systems which I've found to be either too centralized, not cross-platform. Right now I'm looking at ways to add special handling for compressed archive files which tend to not deduplicate well. Check out the repo if you're interested.
