That didn't happen to the iPhone 4 in the third quarter. Its sales increased. (The iPhone 4 was announced two weeks before the third quarter ended and it started selling at the start of the fourth quarter. That might explain some of the difference, not sure whether that's the whole story.) I think Apple is doing alright.
