Hi bloqs, my job title is "Technical Project Manager". The core function of the TPM team is the decomposition of project requirements documents into build/test work orders in Jira, but we do a lot of other stuff, including manually handling technical processes that should have already been automated but aren't (server migrations, etc.) and assist in troubleshooting and writing quality documentation. There are a lot of issues with the way the role is set up, and in some cases I think it would be more appropriate to employ full-time programmers to do some of what we're doing, but a lot of the time we cover a lot of ground between a non-technical client and a highly technical programmer without wasting dev time hunting through requirements, contracts, or bug problems.
