Why would contrast be bad for someone with bad eyesight?
- justsomehnguy 5y ago> C-beams glitter in the dark Exactly because it is a high contrast one. My eyes are pierced by the extra bright white (or green) text on a black background. Especially if I'm sitting without any other light source in the room. I do the same thing I do for the regular, non-night mode: tone down the overall brightness A LOT (sometimes down to 30% of overall) and depending on the needs - turn the contrast down 10-20%. This is not only helps a lot, it is often the difference between just being tired [after hours] but being tired AND having a bloodshot, painful eyes with the symptoms of an oncoming migraine. High eye strain can trigger a migraine for me.
