Ask HN: HN What are some good alternatives to Gmail?
I've had my gmail account for as long as I can remember but I'm looking to switch. What does HN use for personal email with regards to privacy, spam protection and features?
- ophilbert 5y agoHaven't tried myself but if you're willing to pay for your privacy (you not being the product), hey.com seems promising (https://www.hey.com https://www.hey.com)

- Flankk 5y agoI use Gmail for personal email, Zoho for business email. In the future I will be purchasing server hardware for the website and stuff. At that point I'll probably be moving to self-hosted email using something like Mail-in-a-Box. https://mailinabox.email/ https://mailinabox.email/
