It's the TODO that's the killer. We are constantly adding tech debt, and never paying it back.
- new_guy 5y agoThe amount of times I've come across a TODO I added that I could have just done in 2 minutes instead of leaving future me an annoying note makes me want to slap myself!
- skinkestek 5y agoBut would you be allowed to do that? Minor renames and similar fixes would be fine, but at work I'd get in hot water sooner or later if I added (more) random fixes to my pull requests. While this is not the case all the time, a very good reason is that some times one persons bug might very well be another persons feature.
