Microsoft: releases new Halo, gets massive concurrent viewership on their esports for an HCS Major, then buys Activision/Blizzard. Sony: Buys Bungie in response, hoping to get another competitive FPS. It's a shame Destiny isn't in the same ballpark as Halo or CoD, but maybe Bungie's still got what it takes to make a competitive/casual FPS that taps into the same market as Halo.
