Sending cash in the mail was cool, back in the 90's.
Nowadays I just use IVPN which accepts Monero directly.
If you're attached to Mullvad, there are third party websites which sell Mullvad vouchers for Monero.
- BoorishBears 5y agoDidn't realize there were "cash hipsters"... I paid with a bank card because I don't care for the hassle of crypto, I just think it's pretty cool they still do this.
- alexb_ 5y agoBut a lot of people want VPNs, and the privacy that comes with them, but don't want to involve themselves with cryptocurrency. Saying "just use Monero" completely forgets about this (quite large) portion of people.
- boring_twenties 5y agoI mean, sure, if you insist on the strictly inferior solution, luckily for you it's still an option. I find it amusing that you explicitly want to send a private, anonymous and uncensorable transaction, but at the same time don't want to "involve yourself with" a technology that enables you to do exactly that.
- drekk 5y agoI'll stick with the "strictly inferior" solution that doesn't swing in value or require wasting electricity and silicon. There is no such thing as a 100% private, 100% anonymous, 100% uncensorable system, either.
