DockerHub Active Incident
- encryptluks2 5y agoI started moving away from Docker Hub. The only thing they have going for them is they have a descent amount of "official" images. Otherwise, their interface is very basic. You can't delete your account. They spam you with emails. No private access for organizations. Security scanning and org features are behind a paywall.
- mkl95 5y agoI have only been using Dockerhub actively for a few months. I use it to play with Kubernetes and it is ironically unstable. I would happily switch to a more stable alternative.
- 0xedd 5y agoIf you're looking to learn, there are many free k8s labs online such as https://kubernetes.io/docs/tutorials/kubernetes-basics/create-cluster/cluster-interactive/ https://kubernetes.io/docs/tutorials/kubernetes-basics/creat... Otherwise, if you want something more permanent, you'll accomplish a tremendous deal managing your own, first. Using microk8s on Ubuntu, kubespray/rancher/k3s on distro agnostic or just install yourself on either some VMs, raspberries or old machines laying around.
