TOTP or U2F keys. Not linked to your phone, not vulnerable to scams (e.g. people taking over your phone number because they convinced a support employee that they own it). TOTP easily transferable, U2F not so much (by design).
- personjerry 5y agoAre these commonly accepted? I always use authenticator app where possible, but tbh a vast number of 2FA only allows cell phone.
