Tangential, but what's Kia/Hyundai quality compared to Honda and Toyota? Will their future lineup allow 15 years of reliable ownership?
- esalman 5y agoKia/Hyundai cars are great. However in recent years there's been more than a few cases of engine fire. I myself had one rental Elantra engine stall on me last year. It was at about 25k miles. On the other hand I have owned a 14 Corolla, 18 RAV4 and 21 Highlander hybrid. Combined repair cost is $130 (Corolla battery swap).
- tssva 5y agoMy 2007 Hyundai Sonata lasted for 14 years with little issue. It was finally taken down by someone running a light.
