How can I host my own community these days?
I had an idea about hosting a forum like community on my product website to gain seo and traffic from that. Is there a go to solution for this? I remember when phpbb was the solution but I dont think there will be that many users willing to register on a solution like that now. The most common option I can think of is facebook groups, but that does not help me with traffic to my site. Is there another option or is this idea just not that good?

In particular I have a client who wants forums and live chat in the same solution. [1] https://www.discourse.org/ https://www.discourse.org/
