I would rather government take reasonable risks, and end up with occasional Solyndra's if thats the price for increased innovation. To be honest, I don't consider the half a billion dollars from Solyndra to be much of a boondoggle, in the grand scheme of things. It's a loan guarantee that had intentional fraud by the borrower.
