A somewhat important factor is if the tire is slick/smooth, knobby or in-between. For casual riding you probably want something in the middle so that it's fine on most surfaces.
- wiredfool 5y agoSlick/smooth unless you're doing mud/snow. The tread compound matters a lot more than the tread pattern, until you're into sloppy stuff, and then the tread starts to matter.
