Raspberries for the Stack Overflow mods. But thanks to this paper we can find our thrill on blueberry hill.

- dudeinjapan 5y agoRaspberries > blueberries. Discuss.
- ggm 5y agoRaspberries are drupes, aggregates of drupes. Drupes include the coconut. The coconut is larger than the blueberry. Coffee is also a drupe. Blueberries are super, but they aren't super-druper.
- dudeinjapan 5y agoRaspberries, coconuts, and coffee... I never realized how much I love drupes.
- ggm 5y agoMe neither. I think this is one of those botany linnean sub-categories which make little sense when you look at a raspberry and a coconut. Don't get me started on Peanuts. They grow underground. How does this put them in the same category as tree-nuts? it doesn't! They're technically a legume, yet in their protein they display the same anaphylaxis risk as tree nuts, if not worse: if you're allergic to peanuts you are much more likely to be allergic to tree nuts than legumes (this isn't FODMAP btw)
- blowski 5y agoThe comments so far on this post probably suggest why they closed it. The question and serious answers are fascinating, but the "funny" comments are not.
