State actors are willing to spend near limitless money for a vuln with zero return on investment.
- olliej 5y agoThat's a common misconception - a government may technically have infinite money, but they're still comparing the cost of things. At some point (for example) sending people to put bugs in someone's house is cheaper, or 24 hour surveillance becomes cheaper. The goal of the defender is to push the cost of attacking the software above the cost of doing something else.
