I was in the Bay Area when Comcast (finally) rolled it out; it wasn't that long ago; it might have been >5 years now, but definitely it was within the last 10. Now I'm in the Boston MSA (a very rural place, I know /s); the ISP here, Verizon, does not offer IPv6. (They state they are "rolling it out", but this year will be the fifth anniversary of that.)
