The official title to guide your research is ARDS, acute respiratory distress syndrome. There seemed to be a lot of new info when I reached today.
The tips I can provide as a Type 1 diabetic and having survived ARDS are the following.
Reshi mushrooms and other foods to improve your lungs and oxygen levels will help.
Take melatonin as that is both an antioxidant and it helps the immune system.
Look for probiotics w Reuteri, as that strain helps the others stick. You may also have to cleanse yeasts out too. A women's product candex helps w gut. Products based on caprilic acid work against internal but yeast does a "die off reaction" where it poisons you to get you to avoid the things that limit the yeast.
Best wishes for a good recovery.
