I get the point he's making. But still, if he didn't like the lack of nuance why not find somewhere to work other than Microsoft?

- kristjansson 5y agoI choose to believe this is an _incredible_ joke about missing nuance.
- Brian_K_White 5y agoNow that you say it, I have to admit it's possible, but I guess I'm just not as generous of spirit and did not land on that interpretation myself. I'm going with "no way". :)
- Brian_K_White 5y agoWhat a great example of his point. You just picked a single item and acted as though it were the only consideration in the universe. Did be anywhere say that this interesting phenomenon he observed was the worst thing in the world and made MS intolerable? Did he anywhere say that this was a uniquely MS problem? This article was about dynamics of one-to-many communication with humans, not about why MS sucks.

This also seems like a great example.
- Brian_K_White 5y agoI'm charging that he didn't in fact "get the point he's making". He didn't make a nuanced reaction that recognizes two different truths, he stated one thing and then stated the opposite. "I'm a generous person but I just want everything for myself." is not an example of nuance. It's an example of one or the other statement simply being untrue.
- mistermann 5y agoFair enough, but you didn't just miss nuance, you inserted novel events.
- Brian_K_White 5y agoI did not.
- mistermann 5y agoGiven this piece of text: >> I get the point he's making. But still, if he didn't like the lack of nuance why not find somewhere to work other than Microsoft? Can you quote the specific portions of text that explicitly communicates these specific ideas: - {something} is the only consideration in the universe - {something} is the worst thing in the world - Microsoft is intolerable - that these problems are a uniquely MS problem - Microsoft sucks

- mistermann 5y agoCan you do it (and will you do it, physically, in fact) in response to this comment?
