Correct title should be “Apple removes Python 2.7 from macOS in favor of Python3”
- dagmx 5y agoThat would be incorrect. It's not being replaced in the OS with python3. It's just being removed.
- vl 5y agoBut current title implies that there is no Python left at all, which is "more" incorrect.
- angulardragon03 5y agoA fresh installation of macOS 12.3 will not contain Python. python3 is a shim, when you run it it tells you you need to install the XCode CLI tools. It is not included by default.
- dagmx 5y agoThere is no Python left at all unless you install it via other tools like Xcode or brew
