There is almost nothing to add to this run down on the insanity of the hype of hydrogen ecoonmy. Hydrogen (as a fuel) and even used in fuel-cell has been similarly shown to be a bad idea to power cars. It is so hopeless at this time that even Mercedes after 30 years of research thrown in the proverbial towel. The question remain (as usual) who and why is it being pushed on the masses as a 'green' solution? If companies (well governments due to subsidies) do not become strategic about low-carbon transition we will just waste money, and not achieve anything but a very real and tangible further increase of waste in our environment far above that of "business as usual scenario".
1) Law of conservation of energy is merciless, and neither electricity nor hydrogen are energy sources because there are no "wells" of such on Earth. They are energy vectors and the energy content of these vectors has to come from somewhere else --> primary energy source (fossils f., nuclear, wind, solar, hydro, geothermal, etc).
2) hydrogen does not 'like' to move, compression or turning it into liquid means an energy loss
3) leakage during transport is impossible to avoid
