If Lucas really did intend this ring theory stuff, that's kind of neat, but the dialogue and plot of the prequels still leaves a lot to be desired.
Why did Anakin have to turn to the Dark Side so suddenly and kill those kids five minutes after he exposed Sidious as a Sith to the Jedi? Because it had to match up with the sudden destruction of Alderaan?
